Daniel Boorstein, a former librarian of congress and one of my favorite authors, died today.

No scandal, no trama – he was 89 years old.

Boorstein is to history what Carl Sagan was to science – each made it accessible, interesting, readable. How about that?

The Disoverers is one of my all-time favorite books; it’s about…discoveries. I loved it. Read it.
